I get to know my pitcher, establish a close relationship with her and help manage her stress
I am a Leader on the team and communicate plays,pitches, strikes, and outs
I have a previous D1 Catcher as my Catching Coach
I establish a friendly relationship with the umpires
I know how to field bunts and adjust to a slapper
I love to work hard and get dirty!
I listen carefully to my coaches and learn quickly
I train very hard at lessons and stay positive
I know how to receive, frame & block correctly
I've been taught how to pitch call: give signs, align my glove/ body for the specific pitch and batter
I have good instincts and can adjust rapidly
I've been taught many defensive situations & strategies
I've been taught how to call plays by observing, being aware of situations and understanding outcomes
